South American Adventure Begins

After planning for six months, our trip to South America finally started.  Our plan is to be away from December 28, 2012 until April 5, 2013.  We spent Christmas in Toronto and then left from Toronto airport.   Although our flight left in the mid morning, we arrived at the airport early to avoid traffic and were at the gate by 0700 for a 1000 flight.  This after difficulties at check-in (our tickets were not registered or something) and a long security check.  An uneventful, very long flight followed.
